From Banksy to Warhol and beyond. Create exciting street art and pop art in a range of styles.
New Winter/ Spring Term starts Sat 10th Jan
Fun and practical art club exploring creative techniques - from giant murals to digital art, collage, painting, sculpture, stencilling, and animation.
Street Art and Pop Art are two of the most fun and bold forms of art and provide a great opportunity to explore modern art in an experimental and playful way. Their creative roots stem from the principle that art is for everyone and everything and everywhere can be a canvas for ideas that reflect our diverse cultures and environments.
This course will explore some of the most influential modern artists in history and we will experiment with different styles and techniques to create our own amazing pieces.
Make new friends and learn new skills in practical and graphic art and maybe get a whole new perspective on what art is and can be!
This term we will be covering all new projects.
Come and enjoy this unique course in a fun and relaxed environment at the Submarine studios with lead tutor Tom Ellis and assistants.
All materials will be supplied. Please wear appropriate old clothes as it might get a bit messy!
Please note this is not a course about graffiti. Street Art is so much more than that.
We only use water based spray paints during our sessions with tutor supervision and safety protection.
