Digital Animation

Our students continue to impress on all levels in our Animation classes. Children and teenagers can start from any level and can join our clubs and courses from the age of 7-15 to develop their digital animation skills. We try out a variety of animation and character design projects, using key frame animation, digital art, rotoscoping, and other 2D animation methods. This includes an introduction to Procreate, the leading digital drawing app for iPads, as well as progression towards Procreate Dreams, its accompanying animation app .

We’ve been trying out all sorts of Digital Animation across our courses at Submarine. Our Digital Animation course’s Morphing Animation Projects are brilliant and so inventive, made alongside their various independent animation projects.

We’ve also had a go at designing our own Pokemon to practice character concept design, alongside our Isometric Pixel worlds that are ready to be used for Animation or Game Design. Classic Animation characters featured in a recent drawing challenge - have a look for Atlas’s Astro Bo. Misaki’s Zoom Out Animation is a fantastic example of another recent project - made using Procreate for iPad.
