MEET YOUR TUTOR

Laura McVean

Laura specialises in tutoring kids and adults in sewing, textiles and printmaking with a particular passion for reuse and sustainability. She is also part of the team at Cass Art in Edinburgh where she has organised workshops and exhibitions in store. We are thrilled to have her at Submarine providing brilliant classes and workshops on Sundays and during our Fashion Design holiday clubs.

In 2024 Laura also spent some time in a small school in Cambodia teaching Art classes to High School students, introducing them to new materials, techniques, and the wider history and importance of art in society.

She finds fulfilment in encouraging others to appreciate their own creative talents and see them grow through this.
