Carmela

Carmela Arguimbau is an Argentinian illustrator, live portrait artist, and art tutor based in Edinburgh. She holds a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication and an HND in Illustration. Working primarily in watercolour, pencils and ink, her work is inspired by her love for Japanese culture (in particular Studio Ghibli movies and Anime), the Scottish nature and folklore that surrounds her and her Latin American heritage. 

Alongside her illustration practice, Carmela enjoys sharing her passion for creativity through workshops and teaching, helping students build confidence and explore their own artistic voice.
