Sorin is an intermedia artist currently based in Edinburgh, and a recent graduate of BA(Hons) Intermedia (First Class) at Edinburgh College of Art, where they specialised in motorised interactive art.
During their degree, Sorin led a variety of student groups, including ‘Coffee+Crit’, a peer-led learning social, to fill the gaps by the pandemic’s impact on the Edinburgh College of Art. They currently are a member of Mutual, a co-operative studio in Edinburgh.
Recent art projects include the interactive installation by Room to Play @ Hidden Door Festival, as well as sculptures in Never Go Out @ SWG3 Glasgow.
Sorin’s art practice is based in sculpture + mixed media, but they teach in everything from painting + drawing, to digital art + animation. They teach adults, teens and kids, and particularly value working with young people who experience challenges in mainstream education.
