Picture Book Illustration + Collage (18+)

Introduction to picture book illustration, this term with new collage theme projects.

8 week adult course starts Thurs 21st August (11am-1pm)

They say everyone has a book in them and picture book illustration is a wonderful skill to have to bring your ideas to life.
Submarine are delighted to announce the return this Autumn of our popular 8 week Picture Book Illustration course and this term we will be focusing on collage styles, using traditional and digital techniques.

Projects will include drawing, painting, collage and mixed media, character design, typography and development of storytelling skills. The course will also include an introduction to digital art app Procreate where you can learn how to import your work into page layouts and design striking compositions with your images and text.

Following on from our previous 2 courses which had specialised focus on animation and typography this course is suitable for all abilities with beginners and returning students very welcome.

Join us for a fun and creative experience every Thursday morning from 21st August at Submarine Studios in Edinburgh.

Each group will have its own online gallery page where they can download and share all the digital work they create.

The course will be led by Submarine tutors Tom Ellis and Sorin Bath.

All equipment and materials included.
Students will also receive digital prints of their best work.
