Procreate taster session

A tutorial into how to use Procreate on the iPad and a chance to doodle, illustrate and sketch over film posters, music videos and iconic images. Feel free to bring your own digital image if you have one in mind. Personal iPads with Procreate already installed also welcome.

Introduction to Digital Art + Coding with Robert Brice

Advances in Digital Art are redefining what we mean by art and how we experience it. This session will introduce participants to digital art through the work of artists that I have found inspiring, intriguing or simply astonishing. 

We will then go on to build our own generative artwork using Processing, a popular and free digital art coding environment. This introduction will take the form of a gentle code along where you will be introduced to how Processing operates and be taken though a short introduction to the java language to allow you to make your own generative art work.

To get the most out of this introduction, please bring a laptop with Processing already installed. This is available from https://processing.org/ and is free for both mac and pc. You don't need to know how to code to enjoy this evening, just bring a laptop and plenty of curiosity.
